Terms of Use
Last updated: October 6, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Y1 Engineering, LLC, an Illinois limited liability company (“Y1 Engineering,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They cover the Sabai Replay mobile app (the “App”) and this website (together, the “Services”). Sabai Replay is a product of Y1 Engineering, LLC.
By using the App, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who also agrees to these Terms for you.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.
2. Licence and ownership
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own personal training, under these Terms.
We own the App, its design and content, and the Sabai Replay name and marks. These Terms do not give you any right to them beyond this licence.
3. Subscriptions
The Sabai Replay subscription is an auto-renewable subscription sold by Apple through the App Store. The price, the billing period, and any free trial are shown on the purchase screen before you buy, in your local currency. The terms shown there are the subscription you agree to.
Renewal and cancellation. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before that period ends. You manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID settings. Deleting the App, or deleting your account, does not cancel a subscription.
Free trials. Any free trial is shown on the purchase screen, and only if your Apple ID can still use it. If you buy a subscription while a free trial is running, the unused part of the trial ends when the purchase goes through.
Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s refund policies.
Promotional pricing. We may offer promotional pricing, including a limited-time founding rate. Its terms are shown on the offer screen. We may change or end any offer at any time. The renewal and cancellation terms above apply to promotional subscriptions too.
Price changes. We may change subscription prices. Apple will tell you before a change applies to you and, where required, ask for your agreement.
4. Unlock codes
We may give out codes that unlock the App’s paid features without a subscription. A code is personal to the person we gave it to. It cannot be sold or transferred, has no cash value, and may expire. We may revoke a code, and the access it gave, at any time.
5. Training and injury
Train at your own risk. Combat sports carry a risk of injury. You are responsible for how you train, where you train, and whether you should be training at all.
Check with a doctor before you start, and before you continue if you have an injury, a medical condition, or any doubt about whether this kind of training is safe for you.
Sabai Replay is a timer and a camera. It is not coaching, and it is not medical advice. It shows what it recorded: rounds, combos, and time. It does not grade your technique, and nothing in the App is a promise that you will improve, avoid injury, or train safely.
Set the phone up somewhere safe, out of the training area. You are responsible for keeping the device, its mount, and anyone nearby clear of strikes, partners, and anything else that moves during a session.
6. Filming other people
Footage from a training session often includes other people. You are responsible for getting their consent before you film them, and for following your gym’s rules on cameras. Do not record anyone who has not agreed to be filmed, or anywhere the gym, the venue, or the law does not allow cameras.
You are also responsible for what you do with footage after you record it, including sharing it.
7. Your content
You own your footage. The videos, audio, and session details you create in the App stay on your device. We do not receive them, and we take no rights in them.
If you export or share footage, that sharing is yours. It does not give us any rights.
8. Acceptable use
You agree that you will not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or try to extract the source code of the App, except where the law expressly allows it
- Resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the App, a subscription, or an unlock code
- Use the App to break the law, to harm anyone, or to interfere with the App or the Services
9. No warranty
The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Combo detection can miss a combo or cut one short. Timers, recordings, and playback can fail. We do not promise that the App will work without interruption, that footage will be complete, or that anything the App measures will be correct.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for any injury, any lost or incomplete footage, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, even if we were told they were possible
- Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim, or $50
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence where the law does not allow that limit.
11. Indemnity
You agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, including legal fees, from any claim by someone else arising from your training, your footage of other people, or your breach of these Terms.
12. Ending accounts
You can delete your account at any time from the You tab, under Delete account. Deleting your account removes the account, and the sessions, videos, and clips stored on that phone. It does not cancel a subscription or issue a refund; cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings.
We may suspend or end an account that breaks these Terms, and we may stop offering the App. Ending an account does not by itself cancel an Apple subscription.
13. Apple
If you got the App from the Apple App Store, these terms also apply:
- These Terms are between you and Y1 Engineering, LLC only, not Apple. Y1 Engineering, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content.
- Your licence to use the App is limited to a non-transferable licence to use it on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. The App may also be used by other accounts associated with the purchaser through Family Sharing or volume purchasing, where Apple allows it.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
- If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the App, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses from a failure to conform to a warranty are Y1 Engineering’s responsibility.
- Y1 Engineering, not Apple, is responsible for any claims relating to the App or your possession and use of it, including product-liability claims, claims that the App fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer-protection, privacy, or similar laws.
- If a third party claims that the App, or your possession and use of it, infringes that party’s intellectual property rights, Y1 Engineering, not Apple, is solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging that claim.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with applicable third-party terms when you use the App, such as your wireless carrier’s agreement.
- Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
If you have a dispute with us, email support@sabaireplay.app first, and we will try to resolve it with you. If we cannot, the dispute will be decided in the state or federal courts located in Sangamon County, Illinois, and you and Y1 Engineering consent to those courts’ jurisdiction.
15. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services. If we do not enforce a part of these Terms, we have not given up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer these Terms to anyone else. We may transfer them, for example to a company that takes over the App.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above, and we will tell you in the App if a change is significant. If you keep using the App after an update, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the App and delete your account.
